With over 24 years of experience in the multi-family industry, I have experienced every aspect of the industry on both the property and corporate level and understand how to motivate a property and region’s success. I strive to help employees understand that their contributions are paramount to not only the property and companies success but to their personal growth and career goals. Understanding and being an advocate for progressive and ongoing training I try to empower all my employees to be masters of their own path. Fostering a positive team atmosphere is an integral element of my management style. Encouraging every team member to train and cross-train each other is a core belief that I strive to live by and instill in all of my team mates. I learned in my career that to have your replacement trained is the key to everyone’s ability to move up when the opportunity arises and sharing all your knowledge makes that possible.After spending many years in the conventional / market side of the industry I became involved in the LIHTC / Tax Credit side of Property Management and there found my calling. I started as an onsite manager at a lease up of a mixed use Tax Credit property and then moved from there into a regional role and then from there into a compliance role for a large property management company. I was responsible for all move in file reviews for close to 1000 units with a majority of these being new properties and some lease up properties. I was responsible for hiring and training of onsite staff and helped develop and refine a completely paperless audit system from onsite to electronic storage of all PIS files along with all annual files. I have worked with some of the best companies in the industry and I hope that I have learned from each one.
