I am a passionate advocate for arts appreciation and education. I am always looking for creative new ways to increase awareness for the arts in Northern Utah and to meet the needs of the community by creating and improving opportunities in music education that are available to young musicians. I am Programs and Operations Coordinator for the Davis Arts Council where we provide excellent and accessible programming in the arts. I am also Executive Director for NEXT Ensemble, a not-for-profit aimed at transforming the concert experience and breaking down barriers between performers and audience.I also work with the Weber State University’s String Project & Ogden Youth Symphony managing the program and conducting the Ogden Youth Symphony. In addition to my work with not-for-profit arts organizations, I play piccolo for Chamber Orchestra Ogden and teach a private flute studio out of my home.Though I am originally from North Carolina, I have studied flute at New Mexico State University and I graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Instrumental Performance on Flute. I have studied primarily with Dr. Lisa Van Winkle and Cindy Henderson.
