Stephanie Strouse is senior designer for Zaner-Bloser. She received a Bachelor’s Fine Arts Degree in Visual Communications Design from Virginia Tech in 2014, developing a passion for communicating through illustration and color. She has a plethora of work experience as a designer and team leader. During her time as a student, she worked with several organizations and design firms to build her understanding of graphic design.
After graduating in 2014, she worked for two years with Cru at The Ohio State University as a graphic designer, leader, and mentor. This was a multi-layered position of mentoring students who were involved with the organization, leading a weekly community group, overseeing long-term mission trips and weekend events, and in charge of producing the graphic design for all events and programs. While working with Cru, Stephanie developed many of her skills as a designer and a leader. While mentoring college-aged women, she personally witnessed the effects of unhealthy home lives. This stirred within her a desire to use art and design to influence people’s lives. In 2016, Stephanie started working as the Creative Director and Illustrator for MVP Kids®. She helped build MVP Kids® from the ground up: creating the characters from scratch, brainstorming subjects, designing the brand and creating the look and feel of our illustrations. She is passionate about representing ethnic, cultural, and abilities diversity im products. Stephanie continually pursues a deeper knowledge of how we can learn and love others while celebrating differences.
