Current• Dual Language Educator Roles: Plans and implements English curriculum for ELLs in content areas (specifically ELA/SS)• General Educator Roles: Planned and implemented curriculum with an enriched classroom environment while integrating Common Core-aligned instruction through small group, individualized and whole class instruction• Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies for English Language Learners, differentiating and modifying instruction, including Integrated Social Studies/ELA Curriculum (PNWBOCES), Superkids Reading Program, Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System (Running Records), Wonders, GoMath!, Eureka Math, iReady, Lexia• Measures student learning/growth through formative/summative assessments, obtaining data to drive instruction• Incorporates shared, guided, and independent reading in small group strategy lessons, vocabulary acquisition, phonemic awareness, and literacy centers, facilitating Response to Intervention groups• Confers with related teachers through team meetings and committees, discussing student progress• Maintains a positive, nurturing learning environment, incorporating hands-on activities with fun manipulatives• Employs a positive discipline plan promoting student responsibility, problem-solving skills, and accountability• Supports staff as grade level leader, member of the Response to Intervention team, and School Leadership team
