I worked with the Payments team at Sage. We process high volumes of employee expenses and purchase invoices allocating to PO's. Duties include Month end tasks such as accruals, preparing for auditors and other year end tasks, training new staff, liasing between Managers and staff.

In my role as Accounts Assistant for Out of this World I maintained the Purchased Ledger; entering supplier invoices into Sage 50 Accounts and making timely payments to suppliers with the remittance advice, this involved checking the invoices and reconciling them against supplier statements. I also created and sent Sales Invoices to our customers which involved chasing debt for late payment. I also reconciled the bank against statements on Sage 50 Accounts, looked after the Petty Cash and made foreign payments to suppliers in Europe. I would liaise with internal Managers confirming invoices were authorised for payment and heavily with suppliers to resolve any queries. I would also carry out general admin duties for the Finance Manager as required.
