My interest in the field of engineering was shaped while working alongside University at Buffalo Engineers and Occupation Therapists at the Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) in the summer of 2017. I had the opportunity to design prosthetic arms for patients who had lost limbs due to gunshot wounds. In the summer of 2018, I interned at the University at Buffalo Nanosatellite Laboratory. I greatly contributed to the ground station hardware of GLADOS, their satellite for the US Air Force set to launch in spring of 2019 to gather light data on space debris in geostationary orbit.From October 2018 to May 2022, I was a member of Cornell Mars Rover, an engineering project team at the university. Throughout my time on this team, I designed, built, and tested the mechanical drives system of the rover, with personal focuses on the suspension and wheels.In the summer of 2019, I worked as an Equipment Engineering Intern at Panasonic Solar North America, located in Buffalo, NY. Throughout my time at PSNA, I gained further experience using Fusion 360 to design parts used on the solar module production floor. I also implemented a procedure for spare parts management and trained a new hire on the process. I have been with Lockheed Martin since June 2021. I started as an intern in Huntsville, Alabama as a Mechanical Design Intern and continued my position remotely upon returning to school for my fourth year and final year. I began my current full-time role in July 2022, working with the MCAD Solutions team in the Denver, Colorado area.My education and prior experience have given me great insight on the field of mechanical engineering. I look forward to bringing my skills to a dynamic work environment where I can further grow and gain experience as an engineer.
