Manage 5 million dollar Magnet Schools Assistance Program grant to transform teaching and learning and create a school wide magnet founded on the International Baccalaureate Program Primary Years Program and the Leader in Me program. • Lead overall visioning and grant management. Hire, train and retain staff. Plan and execute budget. Manage technology acquisition, marketing, branding and recruitment, • Lead school turnaround initiatives to improve student achievement. These initiatives resulted in substantial learning gains for students and resulted in improvements to the school’s overall grade in one year’s time moving it from a grade of D to C as determined by the Florida school grading process. • Serve as International Baccalaureate (IB) School Coordinator. Responsibilities include aligning school vision, mission and SOP to align with IB values, lead curriculum writing to meet the IB standards for learning, obtain candidacy (achieved November 2018) as an IB school and subsequently authorization as an accredited IB World School.• Supervise, mentor and evaluate teachers using the SCPS instructional model.

Provided district level leadership and project management to a portfolio of programs that include high school career and technical education programs, K-12 magnet programs and district supported programs of emphasis that ensure students graduate with meaningful diplomas and a clear pathway to high-demand, high-wage employment. • Developed, implemented and monitored compliance for federal, state and private grants including the Carl D. Perkins Grant totaling over $500,000. Collaborated with district leadership in the development and for the federal Magnet Schools Assistance Program grant totaling 15 million dollars to support innovation at 3 schools. • Implement the program planning and support development of three-year strategic plan for all career and technical education programs and magnets within the district. Conduct program evaluation and provide support for developing and expanding programs that prepare students for college, careers and citizenship. • Support the expansion of industry certifications and digital tools certificates in middle school and high school programs from 6,000 certifications in 2015 to over 12,000 in 2017 resulting in 2.7 million dollars’ worth of funding for programs within the district. • Expanded the ePathways’ Workplace Learning initiative by strengthening strategic business partnerships to provide authentic workplace learning opportunities for students including over 500 internships; supervised and evaluated interns at jobs sites; collaborated with employers to strengthen learning experiences for interns; organized Internship Expo event logistics and delegated staff responsibilities.

Designed, implemented and supported programming to prepare students to prosper in the 21st century global economy. • Initiated the workplace learning program with the help of strategic business partners to provide internships and career experiences to over 600 students annually. • Worked collaboratively with the National Center for Simulation to develop the Florida Career and Technical Education frameworks for Modeling and Simulation. • Project Manager for the development, marketing and implementation of the district’s Future Ready Skills model and ePathways business plan. • Utilized web development and graphic design tools to design and create the ePathways webpage and marketing materials for various initiatives.

Implemented instruction to improve the academic performance of linguistically diverse students. • Developed school-wide protocol for recognizing and supporting ESOL students in content area classrooms with specific high-yield ESOL strategies. • Used data to determine appropriate instruction, remediation and enrichment to improve student’s ability to read, write and speak English. • Coordinated intervention and support provided by paraprofessionals for students struggling in content area courses. ).
