I am an RN in the Pensacola area who has a passion for critical care. I have spent several years at Sacred Heart split between the busy Level II trauma center ER and a multi-discipline ICU. I am now working at Baptist Hospital in the Trauma/Neuro ICU that also specializes in ECMO.I enjoy taking care of patients who are critically ill for many reasons; I enjoy the challenge of stabilizing an patient who may require many complicated interventions, I am always seeking to learn new things related to critical care nursing (it seems there is always something else to study!), and most of all, I love to see a patient progress from the unknown when they roll through the ER door, to the achievements they accomplish throughout their stay to regain health, strength and independence, no matter how small their advancements are.In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, museums, or anything that gets my spouse and children and I out of the house! We also have two big dogs that keep us busy and on our toes with exercise and training every day.
