The Director of High Performance Sport, Recreation, and Physical Literacy enacts the University’s Academic Plan by providing visionary and strategic leadership to develop, implement, manage, promote, and evaluate effective operations and high impact activities in the following areas: Mariners Athletics (PACWEST/CCAA Varsity teams, Club sports, and Community Mariners: Competitive and Junior), Campus Recreation and Intramurals, Outdoor Recreation, Physical Literacy (Fitness, Active Living, and Nutrition), Gym Facilities Operations, and Community Sports Partnerships. The Director recognizes and optimizes the significant impact of high performance sport, recreation, and physical literacy as drivers of student recruitment, wellness, engagement and success, community well-being, and institutional effectiveness and reputation.The Director will play a significant role in advancing the University’s ambition to compete in Canadian Interuniversity Sport and to build a new physical education and activity centre at the Nanaimo campus.

White is the Chief Operating Officer of Ryerson Rams Athletics, overseeing the day-to-day internal operations. She also serves as the senior official responsible for the direction and coordination of the Athletics budget plan and internal management structure.• Responsible for implementation and assessment of department five-year strategic plan• Create and implemented improved Athletics department process and procedures • Monitors the Athletic assessment program including development of Coaches Yearly Assessment instrument, adding improvements to accountability, integrity and compliance • Human Resources direction and department administration, including direct administration of 11 staff • Direct reports include all Head Coaches and staff, Varsity Operations Coordinator, Manager Sport Info, IS Team• Oversees the brand of Ryerson Athletics, develops customer service expectations, manages the enhancement of the student-athlete experience • Responsible for department technical requirements for Mattamy Athletic Centre capital build project• Strategic deployment of financial resources • Actively enhances relationships within external Ryerson departments, helping to improve working arrangements and elevate Athletics department profile and reputation

Directed and developed all strategies and marketing plans to enhance and grow the profile and reputation of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. Led and implemented brand review, overhauled and rolled-out new branding strategy and program from uniforms to interior building signage program for enhanced optics and communications.• Managed a team of 3 full-time, 30 plus part-time staff in Events & Promotions and Sport Information Office• Monitored and accountability for budgets of Marketing functions, Sport Info, Events & Promotions• Led department in brand review and instituting new log/branding package across all avenues of department• Developed and enhanced process and strategy for Events & Promotions programming• Monitored and assisted in communications from Ryerson Athletics and Recreation Sport Information office• Department project lead on Athletics Centre at Maple Leaf gardens construction and information team• Evaluated and developed opportunities for sponsorship inventory to enhance department revenue
