For the last 15+ years as a strategist, I’ve problem solved for some of the biggest brands in the world. I reinvented the outdated. Elevated the challengers. And made the invisible ones hard to forget. I probably played a role in many of the brands in your house right now. But at one point, I noticed that people were coming to me for more than just strategy stuff. They wanted help navigating their careers, dealing with challenging people and even inquiring into deep life questions like “What’s my purpose?”They saw me as more than a brand strategist, long before I did.Saw the empathy I brought to every conversation. The insight I offered. The safety I created. The vulnerability I modeled. They knew I wasn’t just going to tell them what to or let them off easy. They knew I’d challenge them. And then, be the first to champion them. The chair beside my desk went from the place creatives came to chat about an idea or a brief, to a space peers gravitated towards when looking to talk about more than just “the work”. Eventually, I started paying attention to what was there all along.And a week later, I started the work to become a certified coach.
