Profile bio

About Stephanie A. L.

I am a high-performing and strategic thinking coordinator & educator with 15 years of experience working in the education design and assessment field. My skill lies in assessing needs, generating options, and implementing solutions in collaboration with peers and stakeholders. The landscape of Higher education is in the midst of a paradigm shift. Retention and persistence are more important than ever as we look at what is being done to help students, parents, and stakeholders find value in our work. Many things that have always been done do not have the same effect they have had in the past, thinking outside the box, working on learning about our students, and meeting them where they are not only best practices but necessary. The concept of transformation often implies a significant and fundamental change rather than a minor adjustment or modification. Transformations can be challenging and require an effort but can also lead to positive outcomes and new opportunities. Based on my knowledge and understanding, a transformational career education office focuses on empowering students to cultivate a mindset of lifelong learning and adaptability rather than just providing them with a set of skills or job opportunities.I firmly believe that every student matters. My mission is to never stop learning or teaching. I won’t just work on things that are assigned to me. I will never pass up an opportunity to help out a colleague, and I’ll remember the days before I knew everything. I am more motivated by impact than money, and I know that transparency is one of the most powerful ideas of our generation. I will communicate as much as possible because it’s the oxygen of a successful institution. I am in a marathon, not a sprint, and no matter how far away the goal is, the only way to get there is by putting one foot in front of another every day. Given time, there is no problem that’s insurmountable.
