She is particularly passionate about creating stories that feature women, as well as creating equality in the sports, media, and film landscapes, where she has led and collaborated with diverse and talented teams for more than 10 years. She earned her certificate in Global Sports Management from New York University in January 2024.She is an author and publisher at Red Fern Press, where she released her first book in 2023, a memoir titled "On Fire", which received rave reviews and accolades from readers and critics alike. Her debut novel "Newcross", an action-adventure/crime work with Greek mythology and fantasy elements that explores the themes of family turbulence and human connection was released in November 2024. In addition to her literary pursuits, West is also a creative producer, director, and screenwriter at Eleven One Productions, where she has produced and directed several short films that have been nominated and selected for various festivals and awards. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Ashland University, and has completed courses from the Sundance Institute Collab and the New York Film Academy.
