There are nearly 7,000 Languages spoken in the world, and almost 1/2 of them are in danger of disappearing. 7000 Languages is a non-profit organization that empowers communities around the world teach, learn and sustain their endangered languages. As Executive Director, I have the honor of working with our community partners around the world who are reclaiming and revitalizing their language. Leading the organization's efforts to provide free language learning resources to communities in need, and sharing information about language endangerment - including how we can each play an important role in protecting and valuing every language and every voice.*Led Board of Directors in first ever strategic planning session, including updating the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization*Developed and implemented employee performance procedures, including leading staff in annual goal-setting process*In first 4 months, successfully fundraised to launch new mobile technology development*Secured over $600,000 in grant funds within first year of tenure to increase program reach*Identified and developed a program revenue stream, significantly increasing its contribution to the budget from less than 5% to 45%*Initiated partnerships and MOUs with several like-minded organizations to better facilitate the needs of our partners & exponentially increase the number of communities served

Girls on the Run provides social-emotional skills to girls (like navigating friendships, and turning negative self-talk into positive self-talk) at a critical age (grades 3-8) through running and an amazing evidence-based curriculum. -Create and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for new council-Work with school personnel to bring programs to site-Recruit, train and lead all volunteers-Actively recruit and support Board of Directors-Successfully fundraise at local and national level-Promote organization in local community to garner recognition, financial resources and stakeholders-Developed all systems and procedures for organization as founding Executive Director-Assess program results and financial sustainability-Write and manage budget for organization*Secured and managed $50,000 donation from corporate sponsor to start council*Stewarded $30,000 gift from local foundation in first month of operation*Led board-matched fundraising campaign where we more than doubled our individual giving goal*Grew participation in program by 50% across two seasons, during Covid-19 pandemic

- Research and acquire Serrano language with no previous knowledge- Create and implement a variety of Serrano language curriculum from pre-K to adult learners, including a college course at California State University - San Bernardino- Design cohesive Serrano language plan, which incorporates community-focused learning activities that promote active student participation and cultural reinforcement for pre-K to adult learners- Perform fieldwork and other linguistic research to discern linguistic and cultural data- Help maintain linguistic tools such as dictionaries, phrasebooks, and audio/video recordings- Launch an Early Childhood Education initiative for Tribe

-Responsible for overall management, planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of all community-based programs in Hawaii-Developed and met grant objectives & deliverables-Managed program staffing, funding sources and finances-Wrote and secured private, corporate and government funded grants *Secured $426,000, 3-year grant for Hawaii tobacco cessation programs

Manage all youth programming including: -Developing curriculum and leading in-class presentations for students in Hawaii public schools-Planning community events and an overnight camp -Organizing budgets, marketing and volunteers for all youth programs-Writing grants to support youth programs and the organization*Reached over 2,000 elementary-age children in Hawaii, exceeding goal of 200 by over 1,000%*Secured $10,000 grant for overnight youth camp

Taught children ages 3-12, including ELL and bilingual learners

-Directed 8-week long workshops for native speakers of threatened languages-developed cohesive workshop curriculum-supervised approx. 15 graduate student volunteers-secured funding for organization's events-oversaw all public relations and the creation of all marketing materials-gave academic talks about workshop to local and international audiences

Design and implement English conversation and writing courses for high school level second language learners.

-creating and overseeing public events, including a Concert at the Zoo Series, Conservation Events, -reaching out and coordinating with community partners to participate in events-overseeing operations on day of event-writing press releases and coordinating with press outlets-collaborating with other department across zoo (e.g. marketing, facilities, education departments) for sucessful planning and execution of events
