This exchange matured me personally, as a student and professional. My current capacity for understanding, communication, humility, logical and diverse reasoning, problem solving, ability to deal with the unknown, and consequently my ability to adapt, has evolved. In terms of languages, my English became fluent, my Spanish intermediate and my French basic. I became a great admirer of the world, of people and their constant evolution. I studied at University of Lisbon in Portugal for 6 months, I learned about the culture of the country and region, its history, its nationalism, I studied with natives and foreigners of different nationalities, I used my knowledge of other languages to communicate. The secret to evolving is to listen, understand and then contribute.I had the opportunity to get to know other countries, people, cultures, customs, etc. The countries being: Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Germany, Netherlands, England and Ireland. I made efforts to get to know Morocco, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania for their history, legends, architecture and people, but limited time didn't allow it. I had the happiness of living and interacting with natives of some of these countries, maintaining friendships to this day.*Note: ​Winning the Merit Scholarship is due to meeting the requirements: 1) Being in the 4th or 5th quarter; 2) have a weighted average above 8.5; 3) Defend an international study project, the motivator of the destination university, the subjects, how much it will contribute to your university trajectory, your personal and professional future, as well as presenting the advantages about you to the universities sponsoring the project. Such an opportunity, as it is rare in academia, takes a few months to be elucidated and in some cases requires a review. Show less
