Direct report to the CEO to manage corporate communications, marketing, and public relations for this rapid-growth brand. While leading our communications strategy, I designed and developed a custom website that delivered stronger brand recognition and messaging. I also created and managed corporate award opportunities and programs to highlight the company’s success (Inc. 500 (#222), Washington Technology Fast 50 (#6), V3 Triumph Award, and Top 10 Military Friendly Employer (#4 in 2019).This role also required relationship management with our strategic partners, including Military Friendly Employer, V3, Dog Tag Bakery, Paralyzed Veterans, and Fisher House.

I ran all facets of this self-built consultancy providing professional services to a wide range of organizational clients, including Marine Corps Scholarship Fund, RFK Human Rights, Freedom House, National Guard Youth Foundation, The Aspen Institute, MedStar Health, Rosslyn BID, Centrolina Restaurant, Seabee Memorial Foundation, SABEW, Dog Tag, Center for Democracy and Technology.

Executive Interviewer for SimpsonScarborough reporting directly to project leads. Worked independently on 1000+ executive level interviews nationwide and globally via Skype. Provided market research and feedback to include extensive transcription services for widely recognized college and universities. Recruited and scheduled interviews with business/community leaders, college presidents, faculty, and administrators to capture the data. Strong relationship building with participants; quick rapport.

Responsible for new business for 7 Federal accounts including: Transportation, HHS, Library of Congress, and Patent and Trademark Office. Built role to expand Library of Congress and US Courts customers with revenues of approx. $1M a year. Project manager for Library of Congress contracts; managed 25+ people. Success highlight: developed a workflow document that reduced cost and increased efficiency for the Library. Involved in all aspects of securing new work through proposals, red teams, teaming efforts. Worked on behalf of the executive team and visited customers and client sites to review project status and details providing an avenue for relationship building and reporting that did not currently exist.

Proposal manager on multiple winning IT proposals worth up to $25 million dollars for the World Bank, the House of Representatives, Federal Reserve, and FDIC. Attended all customer sales meetings, identified issues and provided team support. Coordinated with sales director and account team on positioning of major strategic bids. Lead proposal team of up to 20 people through executive level; win themes, section development, etc. Ensured compliance with government RFP instructions to bidders.
