After six years of hard work, prosperous achievements, and steadfast dedication at the region's leading (and 100% local) hunger-relief organization, I was offered an amazing opportunity to expand my role in the communications department by becoming the Food Bank's first-ever Communications & Marketing Manager. • Currently, I work full-time at the San Diego Food Bank under the supervision of the Food Bank's VP of Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs. I am responsible for the ongoing management and growth of all.
• Manages and creates daily content for all of the Food Bank's social media platforms including our key accounts: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
• Develops and executes monthly plans for social-media strategy to increase the number of followers and while following best practices guidelines and updating the content calendar weekly.
• Films and edits video that is used for integrated marketing purposes to help promote major campaigns, events and fundraisers including Hunger Awareness Month, our annual Chefs, Cork & Craft Gala and San Diego Run for.
• Coordinates with varying departments to gather data that is then compiled into cohesive legislative packets highlighting the hunger-relief efforts of the Food Bank
• Manage the Food Bank's website and its content

After I wrapped up my two-semester internship at FOX 5 San Diego, I was asked to officially become part of the team as a part-time news writer. During my time as a part-time news writer at FOX 5 San Diego, I was responsible for writing and researching news content including breaking news, reviewing and selecting sound bites and assisting each news producer.

- Wrote VOs and VO/SOTs, as well as, wrote the script for and edited a news package for intern newscast.- Assisted the assignment desk in answering phone calls and researching news content. - Logged and edited video for special news packages for FOX 5's "On the Road" segments. - Pitched story and segment ideas on a weekly basis and two ideas were picked up.
