I worked remotely for the last 15 years of my career at Blue Cross Blue Shield. The majority of work time was spent evaluating, processing, and returning health insurance claims for TriCare. I would keypunch claims into linked database system, and verify the submitted information. I would provide problem analysis and solve conflicts on active claims, while updating beneficiary and provider information. Training was provided for me to be able to process specialty claims such as DME, PEN infusion, and a little home health and skilled nursing. In the event that there was a discretion, I generated a letter and returned said claim(s) to the providers for needed information to process it.
