I served as Chief Marketing Officer for this premier full-service Midwest law firm. The Am-Law 200 firm has nearly 300 attorneys in seven Midwest offices. I worked collaboratively with attorneys and practice group chairs on a variety of projects, most notably, virtually hundreds of new business proposals, successful submissions to Chambers and other ranking entities, the launch of organized digital/social media activities, and the revitalization of the firm's CRM as a useful business development tool.

I contributed to bottom-line results by working closely with firm leadership and individual attorneys in the development and execution of strategic marketing and business development programs. I led a successful public relations campaign that resulted in significant local and national coverage, including rankings in Chambers & Partners and PitchBook. I also created the firm’s first integrated marketing program, including website, brochures, newsletter, numerous web-based communications vehicles, and events.

I directed marketing and business development programs and contributed to individual attorney and practice group business development goals. I directed a public relations firm in the development and execution of a public awareness campaign that resulted in a front-page feature in the Chicago Tribune business section and numerous placements in legal trade and business publications. I created cross-marketing program designed to exploit the revenue growth potential of existing and prospective firm clients, and supervised the RFP process including researching prospective clients and industries. I wrote and edited proposal content and guided attorneys through new client pitch dress rehearsals. I created and oversaw a client survey process, that led to more business opportunities, and professional development programs.

I led the seventeen-person marketing team for the fifth largest mall in the U.S. I prepared a two-year marketing plan recognized as one of the best in the center’s history. Managed an annual marketing budget of $3 million. Contributed to record-breaking sales growth through marketing programs that targeted specific consumer segments. Achieved record-breaking attendance at seasonal events. Guided Woodfield retailers in their use of the center advertising vehicles that resulted in the highest rate of retailer participation in the Taubman portfolio. Created the center’s public relations program and served as primary media spokesperson. Created new revenue stream by successfully negotiating $100,000 in sponsorship agreements with corporations seeking Woodfield as a test-marketing venue.

I contributed to the corporate mission to increase net operating income and stock value throughstrategic marketing programs for 20 shopping malls across the U.S. Oversaw combined marketingbudget of $15 million.
