Stephanie Cuadra is a Los Angeles native and citizen of Italy with strong personal ties to Mexico and Latin America. With an early career in political journalism, she eventually found her calling in wine.Curiosity about lesser-known viticultural zones and rare wine grapes, in particular, inspired Stephanie to found Terrestoria Wine Imports in 2016. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Terrestoria sources small-batch wines from Italy and Spain for Utah’s unique Control State system. She is also co-founder of Lasorte Cuadra in the Valle d’Itria (Puglia), where she and her husband Roberto Lasorte partner with generational farmers and a local wine co-operative in the production of Silos, a traditional field blend of Apulian white varieties. Stephanie holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Italian and Psychology from Georgetown University, where she honed deep interest in world affairs and intergroup relations. In her advocacy of the principle she calls oenopolitik, Stephanie considers wine a precious conduit for establishing common ground and dialogue between people and institutions.
