Our CSA is the largest in NYC with 500+ members and diverts approximately $150,000.00 per year in food purchases directly to New York state farmers and local food centric startup businesses. Lead organizer of 12 person volunteer team of Coordinators managing Greene Harvest CSA. Oversaw creation of this non-profit Community Supported Agriculture group beginning in 2007. Handled communication and coordination of multiple NY state organic farmers, Habana Outpost Eco Eatery distribution site, coordinator team and CSA members. Negotiate pricing, organize delivery and distribution logistics, create e-commerce website for online orders, track and maintain membership database, communicate with 550+ members weekly, promote web presence and PR, strategize brand, create mission statement and CSA goals. Meet 50+ times a year in person and more via e-meetings. Manage a team of 12 diverse people collaborating towards goals under a common passion. Plan and manage the operating budget of this extremely successful non-profit. Utilize surplus to support community outreach efforts to support lower income families in their access to affordable fresh produce in the greater NYC "food desserts". Created the first Technical Design Department at Oscar de la Renta by implementing new systems of product development management & Quality Control absent from the organization. Established processes and implemented technologies applicable to the brand in order to create a system of record keeping for consistent product management, quality control, minimum construction standards, and block fit standards. Managed PD for womens apparel, sourced from imported and domestic production. Challenged to manage the time and action process for several different business models at once (runway / ready to wear / couture). Also challenged to meet deadlines for the same products across various sales modes of wholesale / retail including brick & mortar versus e-commerce, as well as what I refer to as the "right now" VIP orders. Many special custom projects for high profile clients. Managed all product fabrication categories of sweaters, cut and sew and wovens; specifically including embroideries, leathers, beaded or hand painted fabrics, and furs. Independently conducted fittings, corrected patterns, managed teams of manufacturers, coordinated cross departmental synchronization and communication. Established a fit calendar through tracking supplier sample submit timing over the course of 4 collections. Partnered with suppliers to examine and understand the calendar and what would be needed to ensure timely delivery while maintaining our fit and quality standards. Managed the full time and freelance technical design team handling all divisions including: Mens, Womens, & Childrens clothing in the wovens, knits & sweaters categories, as well as soft accessories. Oversaw entire fit process from development to production with domestic and overseas manufacturers.Amazing company with unique needs in a time of growth. This was a wonderful work experience and very fulfilling. I would have worked at BKI happily for the foreseeable future had ODLR not offered me the rarest of career opportunities; to create a Technical Design Department from the ground up.

Challenged to create a new Wovens Technical Design Department for the startup brand Madewell founded by JCrew in 2006. Worked to establish a technical design department that met the needs of a growing & changing startup brand while building on and conforming to the established procedures in the JCrew Technical Design department. Strategized to implement processes of cost reduction to combat the difficulty in a startup brand and smaller orders and over development. Oversaw entire production fit cycle with domestic and overseas manufacturers. Traveled to new manufacturers and wash facilities to establish working partnerships with them for JCrew/Madewell.
