I worked as a development professional in the non-profit sector from 2002 until November 2007, continually building on a foundation of diverse, comprehensive experience from both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. In the intervening years, I've consistently worked to strengthen and enhance my professional non-profit leadership and management skills and experience. After observing considerable non-profit organizational dysfunction, I returned to graduate school to study non-profit leadership and management. I wanted to understand the genesis of organizational dysfunction in order to achieve long-term economic sustainability and success. From that beginning, I've become increasingly interested in capacity-building funding support to strengthen an organization's infrastructure. Having enhanced and strengthened my awareness and understanding of organizational dynamics, I've sharpened my focus to concentrate on creating solutions that lead to the dynamic impact of social change that women's philanthropy supports by concentrating its funding support on women's issues programs. I feel passionately committed to overcoming societal issues and challenges that lead to violence against women and children. Creating viable, working, long-term solutions is what fuels my passion and commitment. I sincerely believe women's philanthropy and funding support lays the foundation for empowering women and their families.
