Complete work to repatriate American Indian ancestors and their belongings that are currently housed at the Ohio History Connection. Facilitate sharing all information with Tribal Nations with ancestral land in Ohio for the intent of repatriation. The position manages a database where information is shared with our tribal partners. Work also includes completing inventories of all archaeological collections to find potential items that were not originally considered under NAGPRA, and completing faunal analysis on all animal bones. The NAGPRA Cataloger also digitizes catalogs and documentation to be shared with tribes through the database they manage. This position assists the NAGPRA Specialist in consultation, documentation, and filing of all correspondence. Overall aid with returning these ancestors, their belongings, and other materials to Tribal Nations.
