The newly established team within the Financial Empowerment division was developed to serve as the primary contact for Employers participating in the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement division. Responsibilities for the team included educating employers, providing customer service, and managing the monthly contribution reports submitted by Employers that include data on their employees participating in TCRS.In her new role as a technical analyst for the Employer Reporting team, Stephanie was the point person for the Employer reporting process. She quickly educated herself on the details of the process, taught the team, and then began to make improvements and efficiencies. Stephanie’s ability to carefully analyze, research, conceptualize and then communicate were instrumental in her success. In addition to the monthly reporting, she developed the process for a data matching process with external stakeholders enabling the integrity of the submitted data to be reviewed and improved. This project took patience and trial and error to achieve the outcome.During her tenure on this team, Stephanie employed her listening skills to understand the perspective of both team members and employers, which led to improvements in the process.
