A few things I love about being an engineering leader: collaborating with product and design partners, solving strategic problems, empathetically coaching engineers, and iteratively leading teams to success. In only four years, I saw Reddit scale from 150 to 1000 employees, launch a full site redesign, and migrate entire technical stacks. I managed the product engineering teams responsible for launching the site's first dedicated video experiences (think TikTok), and I founded the Women in Engineering employee resource group - as well as the Intramural Volleyball team!At Etsy, I lead the engineering teams within our UX Foundation initiative, a 20+ person organization with engineers across Design Systems and Accessibility. We're not only the experts in UI and Frontend code at Etsy, but we're also uniquely positioned in the scope of our work - providing high-quality, accessible components across Figma, Web, iOS, and Android as well as our two-sided (Buyer & Seller) marketplace.I moved from San Francisco to Oregon at the start of the pandemic, and I believe that the shift to a more remote-friendly world brings more diversity and expertise to the workplace while enabling people to live their healthiest, happiest lives. At work, I am most fulfilled by working on and building products that myself and others find value in. Outside of work, I'm passionate about adventuring in the outdoors, exploring new countries, playing mediocre sports, and creating visual art.
