As an intern at Pride in North Carolina, I am privileged and honored to work with the qualified persons, program director, and day treatment therapists in providing both group and individual therapy to children within Pitt County Schools ranging from ages 5-18. I assist in the following:- Facilitating group therapy for middle school and high school age groups- Individual therapy for elementary school, middle school, high school aged clients using trauma focused CBT, art therapy, play therapy, and psychotherapy- Developing curriculum focused on evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve social skills, coping skills, positive thinking and positive behavior patterns- Behavioral interventions with modified day students - elementary, middle, and high school aged- Completing weekly progress reports for the modified day students- Developing contact letters for parents and the community- Community outreach to involve the clients with available community programs and to assist in meeting the individual needs of the clients- Attending IEP, clinical family therapy, and crisis meetings- Connecting schools with the services day treatment provides- Assisting QP's with interventions- Assisting in the development of programs to include whole family treatment- Facilitating whole family treatment using the evidence-based Strengthening Families model

As an intern for the Behavioral Health Structured Outpatient Unit, I was privileged to work with specialists and therapists in providing group therapy and treatment to several patients.- Completed intake interviews and assessments for new patients.- Created and organized activities for group therapy.- Led group therapy sessions.- Completed progress notes and outpatient treatment plans for individual patients.
