Executive Director and first employee of nonprofit 501(c)3 organization formed to provide emergency financial support for the Atlanta-area restaurant community in times of crisis. Grew from start-up to a thriving organization with a $1.5 million budget in three years. Worked directly with national and local funders, sponsors, and partners to cultivate relationships.• Managed all financial aspects of the organization including budget planning/reconciliation, grant application review/fund distribution, annual audit prep, and tax filings. • Working with board and staff, managed design, delivery and quality of programs and services, allowing TGK to put over $1 million in direct, emergency funds into the hands of families in crisis. Developed grant criteria, online application process, and internal procedures for application, review, and distribution. • Served as major public “face” of TGK as an active advocate of the mission, and regularly making small/large presentations, and answering local and national media requests. • Along with board representatives, developed a three-year strategic plan to ensure future success.

Provide support to neighborhood groups during a grant period by working directly with the grant leaders to implement asset-based capacity building strategies and activities to improve the neighborhood. Worked with The Ormewood School, Clarkston Community Festival, Reynoldstown Wheelbarrow Festival, Clayton Collaborative Grassroots Leadership Institute and Hapeville Arts Alliance.
