As a research assistant for Dr. John Zinda, I conducted a literature review and coded studies for meta-analysis of environmental justice research in the United States. I also co-presented our preliminary results at the Rural Sociological Society conference in July 2024.

As a research assistant for Dr. Matthew Hare, I developed graphical abstracts and maps to visualize data regarding oyster populations in the Hudson River using ArcGIS Pro and Adobe Photoshop.

As president of The Skits, I planned biannual comedy shows by booking venues, creating set list, designing promotional material, etc.; oversaw our yearly auditions process; coordinated weekly sketch writing/reading meetings; and collaborated with other members in writing, editing, and performing sketch comedy. I also organized and produced our 30th anniversary alumni show in March 2023. I held the positions of PR chair and vice president prior to my election as president.

As a research specialist with ReLateral/CHUM, I regularly created educational social media content with Canva. I also assisted with a literature review project for Professor John Zinda on distribution of environmental hazards. For community outreach, I spent my Fridays interacting with clients at ACR Health in Syracuse, NY in their syringe exchange program center, and collaborated with a small team on a grant for a community garden project in Benton Harbor, MI.

While interning with EDF's Climate Smart Agriculture and Future-Proofing team, I researched opportunities for and barriers to agricultural diversification in the face of climate change. I compiled my findings into a research paper and presented them in a research symposium.

As a digital agriculture intern, I mastered ArcGIS software to demonstrate the Story Mapping program to 4-H youth and leveraged my training in Positive Youth Development to interact meaningfully with children of all ages. I researched and developed a 2 hour-long curriculum called "Robotic Orchards," focusing on digital agriculture in the Orange County apple industry. I tailored it specifically to youth local to Orange County, making sure to include lessons in digital agriculture methods, block-based coding with Sphero, and GPS/GIS technologies.

I prepared and sanitized laboratory equipment and maintained greenhouse specimens for a professor's plant pathology research. I also learned sterile technique and media preparation.

As a student research and writing assistant, I helped the author of an upcoming ecological gardening handbook to create informative appendices on multiple sustainable gardening topics for gardeners in New York State. I worked with the author to outline each appendix, and then independently researched the subject matter and synthesized the information into an easy to read summary.

As a volunteer with the Explainer program at the New York Botanical Garden, I coordinated and led children and their families through nature-based activities every weekend at the Everett Children's Adventure Garden. I participated in a citizen science project where I monitored phenological changes in Sweetbay Magnolia trees and shared the data on the National Phenology Network. I was honored to win the Kevin S. Belle, Jr. Award for customer service, passion for nature, and enthusiasm for learning.

I worked collaboratively with a team of three other high school students under the mentorship of an Fordham University undergraduate student. We collected field data for two sub-projects related to water quality: we split our time between testing water quality in the Bronx River and surveying a local green roof for its plant species richness/abundance and soil quality. I compiled and analyzed the data for a research poster that I co-wrote and presented at a science symposium with my team members.
