I am the Director of Career Planning for Fairfield University’s College of Arts and Sciences where I spearhead (with my talented coworker) the career and professional development initiatives for one of the University’s largest schools. In this role, I have the privilege of wearing many hats. Some of those hats (perhaps the fancier ones) allow me to develop strategies and programs to help move our students forward in their professional journey. The hat I wear with the most pride is that of a Career Coach. There is nothing I love more than meeting one on one with students to support and motivate them through a process that can be very daunting. Having networked my way into almost every position I have ever had, I am a firm believer in the power of connections and look to teach my students how they too can tap into and create a powerful professional network. At the end of the day, I pride myself in being a student centered, intentional, and engaging higher education professional. I strive to be a forward thinking and challenge myself to think outside of the box with every project that comes my way. And of course, I do it all with a smile.
