In my current role as Graduate School Counselor, I advise and support current or former university students at all stages of the law school application process. I assist students to differentiate themselves through academic advising, identifying unique internship, leadership, and research opportunities, and preparing for the LSAT and GRE. During the application phase I partner with former law school admissions counselors to help applicants prepare the most compelling law school application.My prior experience includes teaching international business classes, advising students, and managing the Honors Program at a major university,, leading a multi-county educational non-profit organization focused on Spanish language acquisition, and representing indigent clients in Washington D.C. criminal courts. I’ve lived in China, Ecuador, and across the United States, and have traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Americas, China, and Australia. As the Program Manager of both the Leeds Honors and Scholars Programs, I was responsible for academic and professional development of 350 undergraduate business students. I provided personalized advising, organized professional skills workshops and speaker events, and developed strong partnerships within the business school, across campus at the other colleges, and the community at-large to facilitate student success. I also managed 8-10 year-long student extra-curricular service projects with individual budgets ranging as high at $25,000, some out-of-state deliverables, and highly-recognized, profile-driving TEDx events. In addition to my advising responsibilities, I developed an introduction to international business course focused on the United Arab Emirates which culminates in a week-long visit to business and cultural organizations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
