I support individuals through transitions--career, relationships, health challenges, and other life events--so they can become more confident, focused, present and able to fully embrace all that life has to offer. I’ve worked in healthcare systems and academia for over 25 years. For 15+ years, I was a medical social worker in Madison, WI. I supported patients and families as they transitioned from hospital to out of hospital care (home, skilled care, hospice). Being present with patients and families during critical life moments, advocating for their needs and supporting them through decision making about their care, often at end-of-life, was an honor and privilege. In 2007, I made the transition to community health improvement after deep personal work and reflection with my Fearless Living coach. I was ready to leave social work but didn’t know what was possible. Working with my coach allowed me to see how my social work skills could be applied in a new way: my relationship building skills and my value of community, led me to community health improvement work in two Madison, WI hospital systems.Since working with my coach in 2006, I’ve wanted to pursue coach training and become a certified professional coach. The stars aligned in 2018! I completed my training with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Certified Professional Coach (UW CPC) program in 2019. The UW CPC training is an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) through the International Coach Federation (ICF), the accrediting body for coaching, and received my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential in April 2020.
