Organize and coordinate office operations to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Manage full cycle recruitment process for entry and mid-management levels of personnel including implement, evaluate and report key performance measurements on recruitment, head count and turnover at the head office and cafe levels Develop, recommend and implement policies specific to the business needs of the company ensuring they meet legislative compliance requirements Lead, coach and develop departmental supervisors and café managers.  Manage the employee performance appraisal and annual compensation process including participation in external surveys and comparative compensation studies Manage Group Benefits, including the negotiation of Group Benefits renewal contracts Manage all employee business travel requirements. Resolve human performance issues in creative & effective ways. Provide counsel, advice and leadership in areas such as harassment, wrongful dismissal, human rights, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.  Manage all aspects of Office Administration including all office equipment contracts, phone contracts and utilization costs. Coordinate and organize all office meetings, Health & Safety Committee, and Company event planning.

 Provide Human Resource guidance and council as a well respected member of the senior management team for 3 locations in Southern Ontario. Responsible for the development and implementation of all Human Resource programs, Policies inclusive of Job Descriptions, compensation and incentive bonus programs. Successfully guided managers & employees through Workwell Audit achieving 87% pass rate. Responsible for negotiation and decision making for all employee benefits. Successfully achieved the conversion in changing Payroll providers. Execute primary deliverables in the areas of Compensation & Benefits, Health & Safety, Recruiting & Training and Development. Initiated a recruiting program utilizing local colleges and high schools.  Responsible for administering all aspects of Payroll on Royal Bank PC Payroll Plus and Windows Images systems. Successfully converted from CIBC to ADP. Responsible for setting up reporting system, and calculating sales staff commissions and bonuses monthly. Track renewal times on all leased vehicles, and calculate taxable benefits. Balance and maintain all year end related reports including T4’s. Analyze all payroll related general ledger accounts for accuracy and validity. Maintain and administer all employee benefits, HR policy manual, and employee orientation. Pre-Screen all candidates and present to Senior Managers. Organize all employee social functions.
