In the editorial department at TrueLine I researched companies we were considering for features in one of our magazines, primarily US Builders Review, and then conducted interviews with CEOs and presidents across the country. These interviews focused on the company history, the executive's personal experiences, as well as their perspective on the national industry and where then utilized by the writing department to create the company profiles.

As a publicity assistant at the Random House Publishing Group I provided administrative assistance for the Senior Vice President of Random House Publicity and Special Events Director, managing monthly budgets of over $75,000 and allocating expense reports. I also tracked and processed all incoming galleys for Random House, Spiegel & Grau, The Dial Press, and Modern Library imprints. For publicity I coordinated tour events and media coverage for best-selling campaigns, such as Paul Kalanithi’s WHEN BREATH BECOMES AIR and Elizabeth Strout’s MY NAME IS LUCY BARTON and planned travel for multi-city national book tours. In addition to traditional publicity, I worked with the events team to plan and execute public events for 100-300 people across the country and helped research and facilitate corporate partnership opportunities. I also did some design work, writing copy for promotional newsletters and press releases and designing invitations and displays for events.

As the Susquehanna Review designer, I conducted a survey of the previous 15 publications our national magazine has produced, picking out the aspects that seemed to have the strongest impact on the reader and best complimented the work inside. I then took this information and designed the entirety of the 2015 issue of the Susquehanna Review, both the cover and interior, using InDesign and Photoshop CS6. I coordinated closely the with campus print shop for the production of the magazine and previously acted as a reader for Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, and Translations.

As Head Resident I worked alongside a Graduate Resident Director from another local college to supervise a team of eight RAs in the management of a building housing 275 first-year students. Our team was focused on educating these students about the policies and campus culture of Susquehanna, enforcing said policies, building community within the building through planned programming, and coordinating with professional staff members, public safety, and EMTs while responding to crisis situations.

As a classroom assistant I worked with children ranging from newborn to five years of age. I would assist the teachers throughout their daily schedules with supervising the children, facilitating disputes, and doing clerical work.

As a Resident Assistant (RA) I was a member of a team of five to ten students in charge of managing a residence hall of 100 to 350 undergraduate students. I would help organize monthly programs in the building as well facilitate interpersonal disputes. On a few occasions I was in charge of diffusing emergency situations which may have dealt with illegal drugs, alcohol, or emotional traumas.

During my internship at BULL Magazine I researched and presented on possible advertising partners such as Goose Island Beer Co., Bostonian, Shipyard Brewing Co., and the Trunk Club. I was also put in charge of researching and coordinating with possible venues for a public reading during AWP.

I was promoted to Head Counselor after two years of working as a counselor. This put me in charge of a staff of five counselors and 75 children between the ages of five and thirteen, as well as coordinating community visitors to our site and four field trips.

As an Intern for Atticus Books during the fall 2013 semester I worked on an entirely online platform. I mainly focused on updating their social media which consisted of two facebook profiles, a twitter account, a monthly newsletter, and a WordPress blog. I also compiled a database of contacts to offer information about one of our publications, specifically "Paper Dreams" a collection of essays detailing the history of literary magazines which I created a digital press kit for with my supervisor. Since the internship I have worked freelance for the company, continuing to produce newsletters and working at their table during the Association of Writing Programs (AWP) Conference in Seattle, Washington.

As a camp counselor I worked with a team of five other counselors to supervise 60 children between the ages of five and thirteen from 9 AM - 4 PM, Monday through Friday over a six week period. Once a week we went on field trips to busy public areas such as water parks and aquariums where we were individually in charge of six to fifteen children.
