Working directly with the Head of Diabetes Design Initiative, I assisted in the management of 8 design projects with Dexcom.

• I am part of the Diabetes Design Initiative led by Lars Mueller, where we tackle design challenges around improving experiences for people with diabetes.
• Design Lead: Working directly with healthcare providers, I led a cross functional team to design and implement an interactive data visualization tool to help manage diabetes better.
• UX/UI Design, UX Research: In collaboration with Dexcom, I worked on improving the troubleshooting and traveling experience for Dexcom CGM users.

Responsible for UX/UI design of Ubistroke, a machine-learning based algorithm to help characterize the deficits of stroke patients. Ideated from literature research, clinical observations, initial user testing and iterations of low to high-fidelity prototypes. Under the supervision of Professor Deak, I assist in running EEG studies for research on cognition, communication, and neurophysiology in infants, children, and adults. I prepare for EEG studies by setting up the experiment room and capping electrodes for the subjects. I also set up and facilitate the study in the control room.

I promoted nonprofit organization LiNK’s cause in supporting the North Korean refugees and spreading awareness of the humanitarian crisis in North Korea. As the Vice President of External Relations, I organized awareness events on campus such as documentary films nights, refugee panels, and Giving Tuesday. On Giving Tuesday 2017, our team raise over $1,000.
