Responsible for overseeing and managing the North Shore Coalition for Drug Free Communities (NSCDFC)/KEY Coalition, focusing on youth substance use prevention within New Trier Township, IL. I manage all the social media pages, events, stakeholder engagement, content creation, health communication campaigns, newsletter creation and dissemination, and more.

Disseminates substance use prevention education to youth and adults in the northern Cook County suburbs and the northern neighborhoods of Chicago. Focuses on classroom-based health and life skills curricula for youth, coalition driven initiatives and events, and community building and empowerment to reduce the adverse impact of substance use amongst residents in the area.

Manages operational responsibilities, oversees supply orders, shipment, transfer execution, stock room and ecommerce product management. Supervises and coaches on effective sales and service techniques, and operational tasks. Assisted external teams with new store openings and trained new employees for new international locations. Trained in Loss Prevention Strategies, handling Escalated Incidents, and Emergency Crises.

Asked to work as an interim Manager to help the Management Team during management transitions. While working at one of the highest volume Athleta locations in the country, I contribute to team efforts to achieve daily and weekly sales goals through sales, customer service, product knowledge, and performing many store operations, some of which include Visual, Inventory, Transfer Management, Stockroom Management, etc. Additionally, I have experience in Credit Card ‘sales’, processing credit card applications, clienteling, and maintaining interpersonal relationships with clients. I have the privilege to work with the team, but also thrive working independently on projects and various operations.

While learning about IPHCA and their impacts on the Community Health Centers within the state of Illinois, I created an educational "one-sheet" resource to help inform non-medical IPHCA personnel about the differences and similarities between APRNs and PAs. This was not only meant to educate personnel, but also improve hiring practices among Community Health Centers.

Undergraduate Research Experience (URE): Partnered with a researcher from the Dept of History at UIC as a Research Assistant, to research immunizations/vaccinations for a book he will be publishing. While his research focused on pre-1900's, I was asked to look at the contemporary beliefs and opinions on this topic. Specifically, I focused on cultural and religious influences on immunization/vaccination rates and beliefs.

South Loop Sustainability Internship:Assisted AMLI Residential in market research, to learn more about how their environmentally friendly efforts are received by current residents. Our team of 7, fondly called the UIC Sustainability Squad, worked to learn more about competitors, local stakeholders and partners, assessed and compared social media and websites, created surveys, and provided recommendations on how to position AMLI in an eco-friendly way.

Sustainability Internship Program (SIP) - Food Insecurity:Collaborated with the UIC Wellness Center, the UIC Office of Sustainability, and another intern, to conduct field research about various food-related resources on campus, which included water fountains, vending machines, eating spaces, and microwaves. By mapping the location and accessibility of these resources, students can be informed of the resources accessible to them on campus. Through informing and encouraging UIC students to use these resources, we hoped it would create more utilization of these resources and help food insecure students learn more about what is at their disposal. We went to approximately 30 buildings and recorded all findings about each food-related resource. Additionally, the water fountains have a refilling station, which records the amount of water bottles saved by each particular water fountain. We intended to use this information to enlighten decision-makers about the positive impact these refill stations have on plastic waste and being more cost effective for UIC Students. Both of these parts of this internship are meant to inform UIC Officials about the negative and positive impacts of various food-related resources, and help increase accessibility or decrease negative environmental impact.Additionally, my colleague and I participated in a poster presentation to discuss the impacts of our work and the changes that need to be made to ensure students experiencing food insecurity have access to the resources they need.

Trained new associates, and coached existing associates, on how to engage with clients, provide excellent service, speak on product knowledge, and perform operational tasks. Additionally, I completed many visual floor sets, managed and ran inventory, and interviewed new applicants. Maintained my position in the Top 3 for exceeding sales metrics, which focused on quality of sale, units per sale, and overall weekly sales, despite my additionally responsibilities as a Lead. Taught and coached employees on how to build relationships with clients, and how to properly contact and follow up to help drive business through Clienteling.

Focused on one-on-one customer service and personal sales, as well as basic register and computer tasks. Consistently in the Top 3 for exceeding sales metrics, which focused on quality of sale, units per sale, and overall weekly sales. Used clienteling to build professional relationships and drive sales.
