- Covered for an experienced buyer who was out for a month; performing daily buyer duties such as negotiating, documenting and placement of procurements with the supplier that provided the greatest value to GE.- Identified and qualified new suppliers, wrote reports to track PO activity and supplier performance and drove productivity opportunities with supply base to deliver cost out goals resulting in over $1/2 million dollars in deflation. - Discovered punch-out site issue with main supplier and worked with the supplier’s team to resolve the issue, optimizing sourcing resources to enhance the customers experience with GE.
