During our weekly lab experiments, I monitor a group of 13 students. Inside and outside of the lab, I provide aid to the students through meetings and emails. It is necessary for me to inspect and comment on lab notebooks and reports to ensure proper scientific data recording, analysis, and format. To start each experiment, I tediously prepare weekly presentations to students to clearly and thoroughly explain technique and chemistry of each experiment.

I assist in a group of 3/4 researchers for Professor Vincent Rotello on biochemical research in his lab. I am currently working to grow planktonic bacteria along with biofilm in order to test viability and minimum inhibitory concentrations of pro-drug and catalyst. The research has recently shifted to a polymer and enzyme to act as a catalyst on a pro-drug. Previously, I worked on small molecule synthesis to produce a bioorthogonal catalyst in the synthesis area of the lab.

I Individually assessed and aided children of ages 3-5 diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Every day, wer carried out academic sessions that were personalized to each child’s diagnosis and recorded new developments and hardships. Throughout, I followed a protocol and documentation to ensure safe and helpful environments for all children.
