Proudly celebrating 32 years with my one and only professional employer! I attribute this successful match to my advisors at Ohio Northern University who knew my goals and helped me make the necessary connections. I joined the ACS Journals technical editing group as a Staff Editor in 1992 (two weeks after receiving my BAs from ONU) and rose through Assistant and Associate Editor levels to current position as a Senior Associate Editor. I have led the editorial production of Journal of the American Chemical Society since 2004, ensuring rapid online publication of individual articles and production of weekly journal issues averaging 350-400 pages. I also currently lead production of ACS Energy Letters, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters, ACS Infectious Diseases, and ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science. Led production effort in the start-up of ACS Nano in 2007; previous journal leadership of Chemical Reviews, Accounts of Chemical Research, Organic Process Research & Development; familiar with all ACS journals. Experience ranges from pen-on-paper manuscript editing to XML markup for publication in various electronic and print formats. Contributed to development of a program-level quality assessment to ensure market-readiness of journal products. Have guided more than 10 technical editors through a 4-6 month training period to equip them to be successful in the role.
