Over the past decade and a half, she has worked within the field of social work as a licensed clinical social worker and advocate for continuing education in the field. Dr. Diez-Morel has been a professor with Penn West since 2019 and has worked with students and colleagues within various departmental and university wide committees to support and enhance the educational experiences of graduate social work students utilizing a trauma informed curriculum. She is committed to fostering a learning environment that creates space for topics centering on diversity, equity and inclusion. She has chaired the SWSH department’s DEI committee and the University wide Latino/a/x/e heritage month committee.
