• Designed and published a free, quarterly magazine for parents in the Ozarks• Worked directly with the editorial and advertising director to create deadlines and story line-ups for upcoming issues• Assisted in contacting current and potential advertisers• Created and designed all marketing materials• Worked with contract web developer to redesign the website• Set up photoshoots between the model(s) and photographer• Requested print quotes and worked with printers during the pre-press and proof approval process.

Handled the look of the publication, built advertisements, graphics, and used photos and other forms of artwork to create covers and inside pages. While being highly innovative and understanding the magazine's demographic, analyzing trends, and paying close attention to the competition. I met with editors, the publisher and founder, the advertising manager, and chief association officer to coordinate the appearance of the upcoming issue. I decided on and created things such as typefaces and fonts for the magazine's cover and headlines, as well as which type of artwork will be used with each story, keeping in mind how all of the elements will best be tied together. I also worked with the web designers to create graphics that accompanied the publications website.

Utilized Adobe InDesign to create the format and layout of each book. This included the size, margins, page numbering, heading styles, subheading styles, headers and footers, title page, copyright page, dedication page, acknowledgments page, table of contents, and index (if available). Designed the cover to compliment the interior of the book. Created additional marketing materials to promote KSA Media and it's authors. This included: posters, magazine ads, banners, bookmarks, business cards, flyers, and website design.

Assisted in preparation and planning of classroom activities and supervised special education children in activities that involved learning and play. Successfully worked with children individually and in small groups. Helped enforce classroom management, rules, routine, behavior expectations and strategies. Demonstrated effective technical skills in working with children on the computer.

Executed project objectives with creative, visually compelling graphics under tight deadlines. Projects included both original designs and variations of established brand images and were managed from conception to completion. Worked with vendors, collaborated with team and delivered projects on time. Used both MAC and PC. Utilized programs such as: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Proficiently used Adobe Creative Suite 3 to create aesthetically pleasing and functional websites. Adeptly integrated with associate creative director and copy writer design team members to launch creative Iams websites and media ads.
