Ecommerce Operations Manager
CurrentAs a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I am responsible for managing a range of departments and special projects for this £22M turnover ecommerce company. This includes various IT implementations. When the company was purchased in 2022 my role evolved to focus on the Digital Transformation.• Digital Transformation: Working alongside the Programme Manager to re-platform the website, replacing supporting software and ensuring end-to-end improvements of the customer journey.• ERP System Changes: Responsible for leading on requirements capture & functional design for ERP system changes. Included data mapping and managing the customisation process from an internal perspective. Managed the internal testing phase before go-live, and delivered internal process documentation and training for staff across the warehouse and office based teams.• Software Development: Acted as the functional business analyst/lead on a 6-month software development project to ensure regulatory compliance on veterinary licensed products. This involved creating a new software product to process online orders. Ensuring all functional processes and workflows were mapped and defined correctly for the development team. • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversaw the IT infrastructure management and replacement programme. Working closely with the IT Manager to define and plan equipment upgrades, to minimize disruptions, and deliver a reliable infrastructure. • Process Improvement: Led the redesign and implementation of supply-chain process within the warehouse. Utilised data analysis to identify heat maps of pick frequency and space requirements by product to re-design the warehouse systems and processes. Resulted in increased pick-face and bulk storage capacity, and improvements in overall efficiency.• Standard Operating Procedures: Authored and distributed SOPs, notably for compliance with veterinary medicines regulations around dispensing medicines, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
