Project Manager who supports the ongoing strategic and technical projects initiated by the Residential Green Building program manager. Under minimal supervision, I am responsible for managing the work involving coordinating one or more large or moderately complex projects or activities requiring a high degree of specialized knowledge in technology systems and green building. Projects include software application technical projects, rating support, database enhancements, team analytic reports, overseeing and supporting technical contracts, strategic planning facilitation, and education and outreach efforts.

My role is to assist the Austin Energy Green Building team by creating SQL-based reports using SSRS Report Builder to answer business questions and drive data-driven decision-making for the team. Skills I utilize to drive positive results are interviews, analysis of data, conducting quality assurance, and writing technical documentation throughout the process. Additional projects I am leading are a knowledge-base enhancement project for the online reporting tool, facilitating best practices and standardization around report creation, developing and administering a Learning Management System (LMS), and creation and administration of online public engagement efforts utilizing PublicInput software.

Coordinator of public infrastructure construction projects funded primarily by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). Partner with various local government agencies, vendors, and federal agencies to ensure project scope is maintained, budget is adhered to and milestones are met throughout a project. Facilitate meetings with the project team and local officials. Manage all project documentation including financial, reporting documentation, and final closeout.

Managed strategic projects and several functions throughout the organization including information technology, cybersecurity, facilities, administration, safety and risk management, internal communication, strategic planning and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Coordinated COVID Task Force project team. Developed standards, policies, and protocols based on the Department of Labor, Center of Disease Control, and OSHA recommendations for the workforce to minimize onsite risks during a global pandemic. Created communication dashboard, facilitated training, and maintain communications to monitor the effectiveness of the effort. Project managed the relocation of 100 staff members from seven locations into new headquarters. Managed all contracted services, budget, communications, administration, and technology vendors' efforts. The project resulted in 95% of personnel fully operational after 5 hours after opening.

Managed a portfolio of strategic projects for the department and oversaw communications and employee engagement team members. Key projects included:Project managed an internal website solution for the organization delivered on time and on budget. Lead user group sessions to define the scope of work, managed contracts and budget, oversaw implementation team, oversaw design and content, developed marketing materials for roll-out, and conducted end-user training.Served as the main point of contact for the Integrated Work Management System (IWMS) project for multiple stakeholders throughout campus. Established project charter, gathered end-user needs, conducted the financial analysis, and presented to high-level executives.

Managed team members, oversaw budget, communications, marketing, and engineering projects for successful behavior-based and technical conservation efforts. Established and maintained key relationships with various stakeholders to ensure end-user adoption of team projects. The program met President’s 20% energy reduction by 2020 goal two years early.

Worked with building operators and building occupants to reduce demand-side energy and water consumption throughout campus. Using data to inform efforts, Oversaw energy education efforts at education and public assembly facilities. The key project at high profile museum resulted in a 50% energy reduction compared to the previous year.

Foundation CommunitiesJune 2008 - August 2012Self-created position focused on strategically implementing a comprehensive sustainability department for an affordable housing organization. Worked closely with internal staff and residents in order to implement successful project outcomes for utility weatherization funds in Austin and North Texas. Utilized an Energy Management Software and Energy Star Energy Portfolio Manager as a benchmarking tool. Managed over $1M in funds for capital improvement projects and created strategic SMART goals and metrics to monitor and report on program impact.

Served as a member of the Z'Tejas team in the following positions: Assistant Manager, Lead Trainer, Lead Server, Server, Bartender, Food Expediter, and Host. Composed training curriculum for new store openings. Worked as Team Leader for five new store openings throughout the nation. Tasks included store set up, overseeing training team, creating schedules, and monitoring quality standards once the store was open.

Coached YouthBuild and AmeriCorps volunteers how to construct energy and water-efficient home throughout a course of a year. Led all daily construction activities, leadership counseling, and material sourcing. Collaborated in the development and implementation of building curriculum for the organization. Assisted Superintendent in the building permitting process and local green building certification. Conducted grant reporting and administrative work.
