Stephanie is of Ngāi Tahu and Ngāti Mamoe descent and is a mātauranga practitioner specialising in environmental outcomes and integration with western science. Her background in biochemistry and HSNO allows her to understand land and water contamination while being able to provide mātauranga-based solutions for stormwater and environmental management. I have written multiple submissions on HSNO applications, incorporating matauranga maori and assessing each application through a Te Ao Maori lens. I am also a part of the EPA's Te Herenga network, participated in multiple reassessment and EPA review processes and submitted on the HSNO amendment bill on behalf of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu.
