With 20 years of work experience in the field of sociology, I am passionate about teaching and learning. As the Department Chair at Indiana University Kokomo, I lead and support a diverse and talented team of faculty, and oversee the curriculum, budget, and assessment of the sociology program. I also serve as the Editor of TRAILS, the online library of teaching resources and innovations for sociology, where I manage the editorial process, communicate with authors and reviewers, and promote the quality and accessibility of the materials. In addition, I am an Associate Professor of Sociology at IU Kokomo, where I teach courses on introductory sociology, career development, research methods, and specialty topics in sociology and mentor students and junior faculty. I have published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, such as Teaching Sociology and Socius, and received several awards for my research and teaching excellence. My core competencies include curriculum development, communication, management, and collaboration, and I strive to foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and excellence in my work. I am always eager to learn new skills, and explore new topics.
