As the Development Director of the Genetic Support Foundation, I am responsible for leading the fundraising, grant development, and other development efforts at the Genetic Support Foundation. I pursue the financial sustainability and growth of our organization by creating and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and expanding our funding base. I have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Development and Fundraising at GSF, including oversight of staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. As the Supervisor of the Lettercase National Center for Prenatal and Postnatal Resources, I supervise the marketing and distribution of resources about genetic conditions; collaborate with top leaders in the disability and medical communities about accurate, balanced, and up-to-date information for families learning about prenatally and postnatally diagnosed conditions; make presentations at medical and disability conferences nationally and internationally about patient resources; and train Down syndrome organizations nationwide to conduct professional prenatal outreach programs. Fundamentally, I conceive of solutions to complex social issues and then create the resources, training, structure, presentations, and partnerships to make those solutions a reality. The core of what I do is bridging the gap between the perception and reality of genetic conditions. I create programs and resources that inform society about genetic conditions.Specialties: writing, developing training programs, researching, making presentations, negotiating partnerships
