• Collaborating effectively with Camp Doctors, Directors and Staff teams.• Demonstration of consistent professional accountability and excellent nursing skills as noted in Doctor references received for nursing care delivery as Camp Nurse for approximately up to 175 campers, care for staff too. • Completion of daily nursing assessments, prioritization and interventions for all health issues and concerns at camp.• Regular documentation of all nursing care, interventions and follow- up provided in healthcare camp setting (SOAP format used) including as per MD verbal orders. • Daily medication administration for campers including scheduled medications and PRN meds (mood stabilizers, inhalers/ puffers, Epi-pens, allergy meds, birth control meds, herbal remedies, vitamins and supplements, pain meds as needed, etc.), Supervising of camper self administration of daily hormone replacement therapy injections • Providing health teaching to campers/ staff including hydration, sun protection, appropriate diet and maintaining of fluids during colds and GI illnesses during camp, nutrition during meals. • Arranging for and communicating prescription needs for camp with local Pharmacy and Doctors. • Utilization of emergency first aid skills for treatment of various injuries including concussion, sprains, strains, cuts, scrapes, etc; in cases of fractures, camper/ staff sent to local hospital. • Assembling/ preparation of First Aid Kits for camp Out Trips for up to six days; supplies such as first aid basics, camper medications including Epi pens, infection control measures, etc. • Maintaining daily cleanliness & Health Centre organization, infection control, hand hygiene. • Communicating supply needs with Doctor and camp Directors, ongoing communication updates with camper's parents, collaborative decision-making with camp counselors when required.• Collaborating with Doctor for identified health risks on camp property.
