I am passionate about designing textile products with a holistic approach, focusing on durability, quality and contemplating the end of life of each product. My preferred kind of materials belong to the biological cycle and aim towards biodegradability or compostability. • Source materials within each client’s sustainability strategies. I follow all implications of working with innovative materials closely: reactions to dyes, washes, heat, etc and consider the best possible route to cost-efficiently deliver a product that meets all quality, price & sustainability criteria for each client• Development of innovative materials: sometimes the perfect material for a product is not available in the market yet, so I engage with partners (spinners, weavers, knitters, trim manufacturers) to create materials that match the needs of specific products, oversee the lab testing and performance checks until quality standards are met.• Collection planning, bill of materials (BOM), calendarizing and organizing fitting sessions, factory visits & quality control checks. Cost tracking & planning to make sure the target prices are met.• Order placement for material suppliers (fabrics, trims, etc).• Technical development for products: oversee the creation of tech packs, attend fitting sessions and give opportune comments on both measurements & workmanship details until the product is ready for production Key achievements:• Participated in the expansion of the company’s scope from a production agency to a “full service” offering where clients can hire services for sustainability consulting, design, product development and production. • Collaborated since the beginning of the brand “Dariadéh” to create a sound sustainability strategy, sourced all materials used in the brand’s collection and developed/produced most of the brand’s products. • Created an inclusive sizing strategy for Dariadéh (XXS- 3XL) while keeping consistency on fit amongst all sizes. Engaged directly with pattern makers to develop samples that meet these criteria (all sampling rounds are tested in both XS & XL)• Improved the communication flow with factories by implementing manuals on sizing, codes for tech packs & sample orders, this reduced the number of sampling rounds needed
