As a senior manager at PwC, Stephanie was responsible for managing engagement teams of accounting professionals for multi-billion dollar public banking institutions, and developing new client relationships. She delivered high quality assurance and consulting services to multi-billion dollar retail banking and credit union clients, in addition to a multi-billion dollar mortgage banking institution, among others. During her career at PwC, she worked with public and private financial institutions on a variety of complex accounting issues such as derivatives/hedge accounting, accounting for acquisitions of banking institutions (including troubled banking institutions), sales and VIE consolidation accounting matters, and accounting for troubled debt restructurings; in addition to SOX 404 controls-related matters, and other SEC financial reporting matters.

As a manager at PwC, Stephanie was responsible for managing multiple on-going Assurance and Consulting engagements involving 30+ accounting professionals for multi-billion dollar private and public retail banking institutions and large public mortgage banking institution. Responsibilities on these engagements included managing overall audit approach for testing to support the engagement–wide controls opinion, and financial statement audit opinion; managing all aspects of regulatory compliance audits for subsidiaries (as applicable), and keeping team’s abreast of relevant regulatory developments; monitoring relevant accounting developments, keeping clients abreast of technical matters through technical presentations, and resolving complex technical accounting issues with clients such as those resulting from government initiatives including the Home Affordability Modification Program (“HAMP”) and the Home Affordability Refinance Program (“HARP”), in addition to active participation in PwC’s Troubled Debt Restructuring ("TDR") working group (regarding implementation of Acctg Standard Update 2011-02).

As a senior associate at PwC, Stephanie was responsible for researching and preparing memoranda for accounting technical matters for private and public banking and financial institutions; in addition to monitoring engagement team audit progression, budgets, billing and adherence to critical client deadlines. Stephanie was also responsible for performing reviews of client’s internal controls framework in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley / 404--identifying key monitoring and application controls to support the audit, and frequently providing recommendations for improved controls to supplement the client’s financial reporting controls framework.

As an associate at PwC, Stephanie was responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial statements, footnote disclosures, and consolidations for private and public companies within the Banking Sector; in addition to applying analytical techniques and ratios to the financial statements in order to develop expectations of trends and identify relationships within the financial statements.
