A conservation charity founded by Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre, with a particular focus on primate conservation. The majority of my time was spent working from the project's primate reintroduction centre in Vietnam: the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre. Responsible for the creation, development and delivery of the charity's Education and Community Engagement programmes - delivering sessions to over 5,000 students in Vietnam across 4 years. Other duties included: Writing and designing education materials, leaflets, posters & interpretation panels (using Photoshop CS5); Designing merchandise to raise funds for the project; Writing quarterly newsletters for EAST supporters and contributing to other written publications; Assisting with design and content of the charity's website; Leading tours of the centre to the public; Duty manager on-site, field research, primate care and husbandry.

Initially I joined as a volunteer Research Assistant, and was then offered an internship enabling me to continue as a trainee member of staff. Work included:* Data collection on local coral reef ecosystems comparing reef health within Marine-Protected Areas (MPA's) and non-MPA's and in regards to proximity to villages, in order to develop a strategy for their conservation.* Training volunteers on species identification and leading coral and fish ID dives to aid teaching.* Assisting in research into coral bleaching, and the relationship between the occurrence of bleached coral and proximity to local villages.
