Along with 17 other #youngdesigners from 13 countries, we will work with #WDO to co-design the roadmap that will contribute to the organizations' long-term objectives for this initiative and its impact on the design community. The programme is aligned with WDO’s mission of design for a better world, and its objectives to promote the use of design to help meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Continued collaboration with all types of designers and creatives in the country and with local and international design organizations and experts such as ASEAN-Japan Centre, Worth Global Style Network (WGSN), and The Index Project (2017). More than a thousand of design and creative students, professionals, and MSMEs have benefitted from the DCDP Trainings and Projects and were able to apply their learnings to their own practice. When the pandemic hit, I managed the program innovation and helped in the transitioning of DCDP Trainings to online platforms to be able to provide the much-needed capacity-building for creatives affected by the impacts of the pandemic. One of the programs is the Business of Design, a workshop series aimed at guiding creatives in establishing and managing a successful freelance career, in which we are implementing on its 3rd year.I maintain current partnerships and pursue potential collaborations in designing programs that will address the needs of designers and creatives, professional and non-professionals, in designing sustainable products and services for the future.

Project Officer at Designer Competency Development Program (DCDP) - which nurture the skills of emerging and practicing designers and creatives to be more attuned to the expanding role of design in driving business and nation brand competitiveness.From 2017-2020, I managed the launching of the Design Center-initiated events for sector-specific participants in partnership with Local Experts and International Design Institutions and Organizations. Was also a delegate at the Good Design Award - Awarding Ceremony in Japan, October 2018, where I attended networking sessions with fellow ASEAN countries.

Creating Design Services and Touch-points for the design students, academe, young entrepreneurs, SMEs, associations and organizations, and government agencies to share their knowledge, experience the design industry, and to discover things beyond design.Collaborated with various Design Schools in Metro Manila, Design Professors, and Creative Students - Dela Salle College of Saint Benilde, University of Santo Tomas, Mapua University, University of the Philippines Diliman, Technological University of the Philippines, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of the East.Launched the first-ever Design Week Philippines under the Design Center of the Philippines, which was further developed by the Design Center Promotions Division.

I started out as a Design Trainee in the Design Center of the Philippines from 2012 to 2013. During the training, I learned the Design Practice beyond the four walls of a Technical University. I experienced raw materials processing, apprenticeship with local designers, and setting up an exhibition in Manila FAME, Philippines’ premier trade fair for design. Design Center then hired me in 2014 to work on a special project called Bamboo Showcase, where I was able to work with various local manufacturers and produced sustainable bamboo products. These were later on exhibited in Design Center, and were further developed and used in the board room and lobby of PhilExport, an umbrella organization for Philippine Exporters. From 2014-2015, I have travelled to different Regions in the Philippines to service craft-based MSMEs and have worked with inventors for product development.
