NPH USA - Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (Spanish for "Our Little Brothers and Sisters"), is raising more than 4,000 vulnerable, abandoned, and disadvantaged children in Bolivia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru. An additional 4,000 children who live outside the homes receive scholarships, meals and healthcare. NPH community outreach programs provided over 95,000 services last year. I am located at NPH USA’s office in Minneapolis, MN and responsible for raising funds in the 14-state region. My primary accountability is to oversee the areas fundraising success, viewing all NPH International activities, programs, group homes, programs events, contacts and relationships as opportunities to market and raise funds for NPH.

Managed a portfolio of 150+ primary benefactors. Initiated centennial individual campaign which resulted in a 50% individual giving increase in 2012. Secured over $500k from donors who had not been contacted since 2007. Responsible for managing fund development volunteers, gift processing, annual fund, planned giving and coordinate efforts with corporate and foundation funding.

Managed a portfolio of 200 primary major gift prospects with an emphasis on gifts $25k+ securing $1mm from individuals and foundations in the Midwest territory. Successful in coordinating extensive travel to arrange face to face meetings with a minimum of 120 donors per year. Managed volunteer and administrative functions and accountable for fundraising/marketing strategies such as house parties and speakers to cultivate, solicit and steward donors. Secured additional gifts to support the Legislative Fund along with house parties and event management and Gala fundraising.

Managed a portfolio of 200 individuals soliciting gifts $25k+ tailored to the College of Veterinary Medicine. Developed a plan and implemented strategies to increase major giving and secured over $2mm a year in bequests and cash contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Led a cross-functional team managing five individuals to develop annual fund strategies that raised over $1mm. Initiated and developed new online fundraising strategies and an e-newsletter. Created innovative stewardship activities to cultivate donors and alumni Increased the number of donors renewing their gift to The Raptor Center by 8% in fiscal year 2004. Coordinated fundraising campaigns using direct mail, telemarketing, volunteer committees, house fundraisers and peer to peer solicitations.

Organized a new multi-year giving society earning over $300k and 56 new gifts at the first fund-raising event. Implemented effective strategies that raised over $200k in annual funds from families, staff, civic and community groups. Organized five capital campaign tribute celebrations and planned the annual dinner to recognize planned giving donors. Ensured the database of over 80,000 donor records were current and accurate. Developed content for annual appeal letters, invitations, and other promotional materials for fund development campaigns. Developed efficient reporting strategies to monitor monthly membership numbers and goals. Supervised, trained and motivated seven staff to retain and support 60% of the council membership. Created community cultivation methods to recruit and retain members. Implemented membership staff orientation and training materials, Developed adult volunteer relationships and expanded visibility of Girl Scouts in nineteen geographic service areas. Supported the fundraising program by identifying organizations and individuals who are potential donors or grant sources.
